1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MateFlow, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using MateFlow on behalf of a school or district, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. Description of Service
MateFlow provides an AI-assisted grading and feedback platform for K-12 education. Our service helps teachers grade assignments using AI-generated draft scores and feedback, which teachers review and approve before delivery to students.
3. User Accounts
Accounts are provisioned through school or district organizations. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Teachers and administrators are responsible for the appropriate use of the platform within their classrooms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any purpose other than educational assessment
- Share account credentials with unauthorized users
- Attempt to access data belonging to other organizations
- Upload content that violates applicable laws or regulations
5. AI-Generated Content
AI-generated scores and feedback are provided as drafts for teacher review. MateFlow does not guarantee the accuracy of AI outputs. Teachers are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before it is shared with students.
6. Intellectual Property
Teachers and students retain ownership of all content they create and upload to MateFlow. Rubrics, assignments, and feedback created by teachers remain their intellectual property. MateFlow does not claim ownership over user-generated content.
7. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We will provide reasonable notice of scheduled maintenance that may affect service availability.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days written notice. Upon termination, we will provide the school with an export of their data and delete all data within 90 days, unless retention is required by law.
